We currently collect personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you when you get in touch with us. We may also receive personal information indirectly (for example account names on bank statements).

We use the information you have given us in order to reply to correspondence. If you have said that we can do so, we may also put you on a mailing list, so that we can send you newsletters, details of future events or similar communications. We will not share the information you give us with other organisations or individuals unless we have a lawful basis for doing so under the General Data Protection Regulation.


Lawful bases we rely on for processing the information you give us may include:

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored by the trustees.

We will review the personal information we hold by 31 December 2024 and then by every third anniversary of that date. If you are on our mailing list, we will try to contact you as part of our review. If you do not confirm you wish to remain in contact with us, we will then dispose of your information (by shredding hard copies and deleting electronic records) unless you regularly give to the charity by standing order or similar arrangement.

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
